What Aloud Is
Aloud is a monthly children's book subscription service based in Siwani, Haryana, India, operated by Surendra Singh under the trade name GetAloud. Every month, 4 books are delivered to your door, curated for your child's age and chosen specifically to be read aloud together.
Books are not yours to keep. They are returned every month once your new set arrives. Aloud arranges and fully pays for the first return pickup — you do not need to go anywhere.
Subscription Plans
Customers choose from one of four plans. The full amount for the chosen plan duration is charged upfront at the time of purchase:

All prices are inclusive of delivery charges within serviceable areas. Aloud reserves the right to update pricing for new subscriptions with reasonable advance notice.
Delivery
Books are delivered monthly via Aloud's courier partner. Delivery timelines may vary by location and are communicated via WhatsApp. Aloud will make reasonable efforts to deliver within the expected timeframe but is not liable for delays caused by the courier partner, natural events, or circumstances outside Aloud's control.
If a delivery is missed or lost due to an error on Aloud's part, we will redeliver or issue a credit for that month. Please report any delivery issues to us on WhatsApp within 48 hours of the expected delivery date.
Monthly Book Returns
Books must be returned every month once your new set has been delivered. Aloud will arrange and pay for the return pickup by placing a courier collection order on your behalf. You do not need to drop books off anywhere — the courier will come to your door.
Important: If the courier attempts pickup and the return is not completed on the first attempt due to the customer's unavailability or any reason on the customer's end, any subsequent pickup attempt will be charged to the customer at actual courier cost. Aloud will communicate this cost transparently over WhatsApp before any additional attempt is made.
Minor wear and tear on returned books is expected and accepted. Significant damage or loss of books will incur a replacement fee based on the book's cost, communicated to the customer in advance over WhatsApp.
Failure to return books after reasonable pickup attempts will result in a charge equal to the replacement cost of the unreturned titles. Aloud will communicate this transparently before applying any such charge.
Cancellation
Customers may cancel their subscription at any time by messaging Aloud on WhatsApp at +91 91723 65155 before their next month's delivery is dispatched.
Please refer to our Refund Policy for full details on amounts credited upon cancellation. All outstanding books must be returned before any credit is issued.
Communication
All service communication — including delivery updates, return scheduling, and customer support — happens over WhatsApp. By subscribing to Aloud, the customer consents to receiving WhatsApp messages from Aloud related to their subscription.
Customers can opt out of WhatsApp messages at any time by sending "STOP" to +91 91723 65155. Note that opting out of communications will make it significantly harder for Aloud to coordinate deliveries and returns.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Haryana, India.
Aloud reserves the right to update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated via WhatsApp to active subscribers.
