Refund & Return Policy

Trial Plan — ₹599 (1 Month)
- Books not yet dispatched: A full refund of ₹599 will be issued within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.
- Books already dispatched: No refund is available once the books have been sent out for delivery.
The Trial plan is designed to let you experience Aloud with no commitment beyond the first month. After your trial month, you are under no obligation to continue.
Quarter Starter, Half-Year Reader & Year-Long Story Plans
No cash refund is issued for the current month once books have been dispatched for that month's delivery.
If you wish to cancel before the end of your plan, Aloud will issue an Aloud Credit for all fully unused future months. This credit:
- Does not expire
- Can be applied toward any future Aloud subscription
- Can be transferred to another family as a gift subscription
Example: A customer on the Half-Year Reader plan (₹2,994 total, ₹499/month) cancels after receiving their Month 2 books. Months 3, 4, 5, and 6 are fully unused.
Aloud Credit = ₹499 × 4 unused months = ₹1,996
Credits are issued within 5–7 business days of the cancellation being confirmed and all outstanding books being returned.
Damaged or Missing Delivery
If books arrive significantly damaged, or if a delivery is missed or lost due to an error on Aloud's part, we will:
- Redeliver the books as quickly as possible, or
- Issue an Aloud Credit for that month's value
Please contact us on WhatsApp at +91 91723 65155 within 48 hours of the expected delivery date so we can resolve the issue promptly.
Monthly Book Returns
Books must be returned every month once your new set is delivered. Here is how the return process works:
- Aloud places a courier collection order on your behalf and fully pays for the first pickup attempt. You do not need to go anywhere.
- The courier will come to your door at the scheduled time.
Missed pickup: If the first pickup attempt is unsuccessful due to your unavailability or any reason on your end, any further attempt will be charged to you at actual courier cost. We will always confirm this cost with you over WhatsApp before proceeding.
Failure to return books after reasonable attempts will result in a charge equal to the replacement cost of the unreturned titles. Aloud will communicate this transparently before any such charge is applied.
How to Request a Refund or Credit
Message us on WhatsApp or send us an email. We respond within 24 hours on working days (Monday to Saturday).
